Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of text a site leaves in your browser. Kodu uses few of them and shares none with anybody else.
What we use

The visitor marker is also kept in localStorage — two copies, because they are lost in different ways: clearing cookies is common and deliberate, losing localStorage is rarer. Whoever keeps either one is still the same visitor to us.
What we do not use
There are no advertising cookies. There is no Google Analytics and no other third-party tracker. We do not follow you across other sites and we sell nothing to advertising networks.
Consent
The session and language cookies are strictly necessary — without them you cannot sign in or choose a language — and they need no consent.
The visitor counter is statistical and runs on a legitimate interest: it measures how the service is used, builds no profile and reaches nobody else. If you would rather not have it, block or clear cookies in your browser — the portal keeps working.
Managing cookies yourself
Every browser lets you see, delete and block cookies, usually under a privacy setting. If you block all cookies you cannot sign in: the session is a cookie.
