Welcome to Kodu.comm.ee

Kodu is a property portal for Estonia, built by comm.ee and run at kodu.comm.ee. This is the first post on its blog, so it is the place to say what the portal is, what it can do, and the two ways you can use it.

What is on it

• Rentals, sales, new developments and commercial space, as a list or on a map of Estonia, narrowed by area, price, rooms, size, build year, energy class and a dozen more filters. The map draws each listing where it stands; a listing's page shows its photographs, the floor plan, a 3D tour and the house on the map.
• The building register fills in what it knows. Type the address and the year, the floors, the materials and the energy class of the house come with it, so a listing is complete before you have written a word.
• Four languages: Estonian, English, Russian and Ukrainian. A listing written in one can be translated into the others with one switch.
• Bureaus and brokers have pages of their own, and a bureau can bring its listings in straight from its own website — Lumi Kodud does. There are three offers for a bureau: putting the portal's listings on your site, feeding yours into the portal, and running your own site on this platform.

Adding a listing is free

Your first listing is free. Activate your account with a one-euro transfer — which is also how we know who you are — and your first active listing goes on the market at no charge. A second one alongside it is 10 € with VAT. Add a listing, or read how the free listing works.

An assistant that works the page

Sign in and there is an assistant beside the portal. Ask it in plain words — *a two-room flat in Põhja-Tallinn in a new house, under 600 a month* — and it opens the search on the screen, counts what it found, and can open the publish form for the address you name, filled in from the register. It reads the same pages you do and never invents a listing. What the assistant can do.

REST and MCP

Everything the screens do, a program can do too. The REST API searches, reads and — with a key — writes listings; the MCP server offers the same as tools, so an AI agent of your own can search Kodu, open a listing or draft one. The manual has the reference and a live test panel where you can try a request as you read.

Standalone, or under your own name

Kodu runs as a standalone portal at kodu.comm.ee. The same software, with your design, can run as your portal — a real-estate agency's own site, a bank's housing marketplace, a portal for another country — with the listings, the map, the register, the assistant and the API all in it. comm.ee builds it, runs it and keeps it running.
